Mondovì

Does anyone ever tell you a place isn't that great?  Don't bother going...it's depressing.  Why am I getting up early to go accompany my friend to Mondovì, I asked myself Sunday morning?

This is why.

It's funny how when someone tells you something that you haven't seen isn't special, you believe them.  This is why you shouldn't.

Everywhere in Italy is worth seeing once, twice, three times....I'm looking forward to my third trip; don't know when but there will be one! I definitely have the Stendhal syndrome!

I suspect that "not that great" in Italy means something different/infinitely better than "not that great" in the States.

That first photo made me gasp.

Hello:
How true this is. But then so often people are totally lacking in imagination, thought and ideas that we suspect most of life, and certainly much of the world, must appear very dull indeed.

What you show here is wonderful, not only in terms of the situation but also of the architecture. We love especially the over ornamentation of the churches [also to be found here in Hungary] which are, in the main, so very different from those of England.
